Organizational Context
Under the direct supervision of the Protection Associate, the Registration Mobilization
Assistant will be a focal person in the awareness raising component of the L3
Registration. This component aims to facilitate the profiling of refugees, encouraging
men and women to ensure all their data, including skill set, vulnerabilities, family links
are effectively captured, to maximize their opportunities for protection, assistance,
self-reliance and solutions. S/he will work with communities to explain the purpose of
L-3 registration, the importance of all refuges to get registered at L-3 level, ensure
outreach to all refugees, facilitate their appointments and access to the registration
center. S/he will collaborate and coordinate with other partners to identify challenging
in accessing L-3 registration and facilitate an effective multi-sectoral approach, in
order to ensure meaningful access to L-3 Registration to all refugees. S/he will
supervise and coordinate the efforts of supporting incentive workers.
Work Environment:

Camp setting:
The situation in camps is relatively stable but remains
unpredictable; there is potential conflict between sub-clans/ ethnic groups in most
camps.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Community Mobilization and Awareness Raising:




Participate in awareness raising aimed at promoting effective access of all
refugees to L-3 registration.
Utilize participatory methodology to identify and report concerns to the
registration and protection teams.
Play a lead role in the formation of community groups for mobilizations.
Work with women, girls, men and boys, local partners and Community Based
Organizations to sensitize on the importance of L-3 registration.2
Reporting:




Submit weekly narrative reports to camp Protection / Registration staff in a
timely manner.
Communicate all obstacles/Problems to camps Program Manager for further
action.
Follow-up on trainings/sensitizations/meetings conducted to ensure
implementation of plans
Any other duties as needed.
Authority

Refer cases to other units within the office and to implementing partners as
necessary.
Essential Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Completion of Secondary Education.
Minimum 5 years of relevant job experience (3 years with post-secondary
certificate/training).
Computer skills (MS office and People Soft applications).
Must be fluent in spoken and written English:
Fluency in local languages is required.

Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills and flexibility.
Previous experience with community mobilization using participatory
methodology is desirable.
Must be interested and committed to Human Rights, Gender Equality.
Proficiency in Word required.
Be able to work effectively in unstable, challenging, and fast-paced
environments.
Ability to keenly observe confidentiality and discretion.
Ability to work as part of a TEAM.
